The bed itself is beautiful and looks great in my guest bedroom—it feels solid and well-made, which is the only reason I’m giving it 4 stars. Unfortunately, everything else went downhill from there. As is often the case with Wayfair, the item arrived damaged. The wood had visible dings, screws were missing, and the shipment came in two boxes delivered on separate days, which delayed assembly. I ordered the queen size in espresso. I was able to build this by myself in under 2 hours. I just put the Golden Girls on the tv and started building! The socket wrench was a blessing. I have a drill but I didn’t need it. The instructions were easy to follow. I took the suggestion of another reviewer and placed the nonskid pads on the legs before assembly. Makes a big difference. I ordered this bed to go with my headboard (also from Wayfair) and it is a perfect color match! However, there are no holes in the bed in order to connect them. No big deal to me, I'll just zip tie them if I have to. So far there have been no issues with sturdiness. The height description is accurate. I wish there had been a 14 inch height option. The top of my mattress sits at about 28 inches from the ground so I feel like I'm a little too high up, but I will get used to it. went to together pretty easy with 2 persons. good quality, seems sturdy. Nice wood, solid. As another review stated, need a screw gun to secure bed slats much easier and faster. All hardware included except a philips head screwdriver that you won't need if you use a screw gun for slats only.
