I have a similar hose pot that is very large and bulky. What I love about this one is that it is more compact and is more modern with the black finish. However, it may not fit a real long hose. Ours is a 50-foot flexible hose. Lid seals nicely and I like the center piece that keeps the hose from getting tangled. Needless to say I love it and my 100' hose fits on the spool just fine and is rolled up right every time. We use our almost daily at the full length so it was a hassle to put it back up everyday on our wall hanging reel but this floor model works way better and even can fit under a patio chair if you need it to..
