The 50 Gallon Terra Cotta Rainbarrel is a slightly smaller version of our 55-gallon Terra Cotta Barrels. Heavy-Duty Screening keeps mosquitoes out. Our rain barrels are uniquely designed with plastic fittings that match the rate of expansion and contraction of barrel plastic from season to season to avoid leakage. These rain barrels are repurposed from pre-used imported food barrels. There may be slight scratching or scuffs due to previous overseas transportation. Since our rain barrels are made of High-Density Polyethylene Plastic they can be left outdoors even in the winter months so there is no need to modify your downspouts in the Spring and Fall. The exact shape of the barrels may vary due to availability but the color and size remain true. Because these barrels were originally used to transport food, there may be residual food product odor. The residual odor will dissipate after a few full barrel filling cycles. We use a PH-balanced, environmentally friendly soap when cleaning so that the water gathered can immediately be used on plants without harm. These barrels keep difficult to break down plastics from adding bulk to landfills and also contain and repurpose stormwater.

When drought sets in and rain is in short supply, rain barrels can provide that precious water you need for your lawn and garden. The Good Ideas Rain Wizard Plastic Rain Barrel can provide 40 gallons of pure, un-chlorinated water when municipalities declare periods of low water usage. With those kinds of savings, the rain wizard can pay for itself in just a few seasons. This rain barrel by Good Ideas features an attractive faux oak barrel design that naturally fits in with your landscape. The wide variety of colors allows you to match your barrel further to your home and yard without standing out. Its plastic screen mesh is newly designed to keep out bugs, animals, and debris while still being easy to remove for cleaning and maintenance, and is gentle on the skin. A front-side overflow keeps water from flooding against your outside wall. The flat-back design is one of the most convenient features as it allows your barrel to sit right up against your home so you don't have to worry about purchasing excess downspout parts. These barrels are tough. While most barrels will crack or become brittle in the winter, the rain wizard will stay strong. It is still recommended that you drain your barrels when temperatures approach the freezing point. Keep your yard and garden watered naturally using the Good Ideas Rain Wizard 40 Gallon Capacity Plastic Rain Barrel. This sustainable approach not only conserves resources but also promotes a greener and more environmentally conscious gardening practice.

Maximize your rainwater collection system with the Rain Wizard Universal Rain Barrel Stand by Good Ideas. Designed to elevate your rain barrel, this innovative stand improves both function and form—boosting water pressure, enhancing drainage, and adding visual appeal to your outdoor space. One of the biggest challenges with most rain barrels is that the spigot sits too high, leaving a significant amount of water trapped below it—wasted and potentially stagnant. Meanwhile, barrels with low spigots offer no room to fit a bucket underneath. The Rain Wizard Universal Stand eliminates both problems by raising your barrel off the ground, allowing easy access to the spigot while ensuring more complete water drainage. No more awkward tilting, inefficient siphoning, or unnecessary hose attachments. This stand fits nearly all Good Ideas rain barrels with round bases ranging from 19 to 26 inches (excluding Riverwalk, Savannah, and Amphora series). Its durable, UV-resistant polyethylene resin construction supports over 1000 pounds of water weight, ensuring lasting strength and performance in all weather conditions. The flat-back design minimizes the footprint against walls, fences, or sheds—perfect for tight spaces. Upgrade your rainwater system today with the Rain Wizard Universal Stand—smart, sturdy, and stylish support for your sustainability efforts.
