I live in a climate that can be 100+ most ofthe summer. I have many, many shade sails. This Royal Shade Rectangle Pro Ring Shade Sail with Installation Winch Kit is the best. The fabric is substantial and the hardware is impressive! I have not installed it it because it is still winter, lots of wind and rain. I am looking forward to getting it up in the spring. This was darker than pictured, but for my purposes the antiquing was indistinguishable from the antique door locks purchased for three doors in the same hall. The metal is heavy cast. Perfect for the hot summer days in Coastal SC. This rectangle Royal Shade measuring 18 x 24 ft covers a large sitting space in our yard and more! We are thrilled with the ease of hanging. Mind you, we hung it out a few days to allow it to stretch out before really placing it where we wanted it. Do hang on an angle so water will run off...we imagine we will still have to push up the center to drain off if a heavy rain, but we haven't had that yet. We LOVE these shade sails! So useful. So strong. They blow with the wind, they keep us out of the direct sun and avoid the rain as well. We have had several over the years from Royal and have always found them to be well made. We wanted a really large one to go right over our new Wayfair arbor to help block some sun and disperse the rain so we ordered another. Success! Easily installed, everything is included!! It looks fantastic, and works perfectly. We chose brown to blend in and not be so noticeable, and it sure does look great! We can remove it so easily whenever we want. If you are looking for a super sturdy shade sail that will stand up to the wind, get this one! The steel cable that runs the entire perimeter of the shade material creates a more secure and tight finished looking shade. The included hardware is wonderful. Just make sure whatever you're attaching to can stand up to the heavy duty hardware and weight. It's also hard to predict how much of your patio or yard the shade will cover. With the prolonged winter in the mid-Atlantic, it finally got warm enough to install this. This is an extremely well-made and equipped sail. The material looks really good, and it is substantial, fairly heavy grade. The material is porous, so don't look for this to resist rain. All the hardware is provided. You don't have to go to the hardware store for anything. The ratcheting winches were easy to install and they do the job. The mounting rings on the sail and the edge wire reinforcements are solid and look like they will hold up under the stress of wind that the sail will undoubtedly need to endure. We love this so far!.
