Pine with a baked on finish which looks fantastic. Assembly is simple and the directions are straightforward. Everything aligned perfectly and it took about 45 min to assemble both boxes. The best bread pans, if you know how to take care of them. Even though nonstick you should still grease and flour your bread pans. It keeps the coating conditioned and keeps it from discoloring.
