We just had it installed yesterday. Recommend that you get a print out of the specifications and the installation. From what I was able to read in Wayfare’s description section, we would be able to install the unit flush with the ceiling. And unfortunately, because I didn’t have printed specifications we had to drop down the unit a foot from the ceiling. Not the inconspicuous flush mount unit and I was hoping for. According to my contractor, this was a very complicated unit to install. To be fair this is a relatively new category of range top hoods that are being offered. Pleased with the noise level, but have yet to cook with it. Read reviews from other previous purchasers, and a common statement was how small the remote controller was. After H**e D***t sent me an empty parcel that was supposed to have my threshold and couldn't send me a replacement in time for install, this was the next best thing. The color doesn't match exactly with my vinyl flooring, but it's close enough under the circumstances. Much better than what was there before. It was installed professionally when I updated my kitchen floors. Great that it has a lip to make up for the height difference from ceramic in the kitchen to vinyl outside the kitchen.. Jessica.
