I really like these screens. I bought an 8' piece of C-channel, cut it in half, and mounted each screen between the two pieces. Then I was able to attach them to my patio fence to help block the view a bit without completely obscuring the scenery. Plants will go in next. If you don’t read anything else, just read this: use a 10 mm nut driver to put this together or you’ll surely go insane. The little “wrench” that it comes with will NOT do the job. Ok… this privacy screen is super easy to assemble it is just tedious because of all the nuts and screws. I have a small deck that needed a little privacy and this worked great. I couldn’t put them side by side the way they are supposed to be but I knew that before I ordered it. The position of the deck post was just a bit off and the foot of the screen couldn’t fit underneath. I just over lapped them a bit and used zip ties to keep them together. I also used the zip ties to attach it to the top rail of the deck. Decorated it a bit with some silk ivy and it gave me just what I needed. It comes with heavy duty anchors if you’re putting this on the grass but I am not sure how well it would withstand strong winds. It is very heavy and you probably need 2 people to lift each screen when assembled. I assembled it by myself and it took about an hour. Well worth the purchase for my purpose. The biggest problem is that I think the reddish brown color just does not exist. I got what looks like the brown color. The boxes say reddish brown, but that is clearly not what they are. I saw reviews elsewhere that said the same thing. I paid more for the color I wanted and didnt get it. This screen is freestanding or can be surface mounted. To surface mount this screen on concrete, you will have to purchase (4) 1/4" concrete wedge anchors that are 2 1/4” in length. To surface mount on wood, you will have to purchase (4) 1/4” lag screws that are 3” in length. Each Sierra Wood Privacy Screen Kit comes unassembled with 1 panel. Please allow approximately 30 minutes for the assembly of one panel and 60 minutes for the surface mount. This screen is made from our premium 100% FSC-certified wood. Space between slats provides efficient airflow and included spacers help with the perfect placement of slats. The real wood, water-based stain panel design gives this privacy screen a stylish look in any yard. We recommend applying a stain every 6 months to maintain optimal color. Transparent or semi-transparent exterior stains will maintain the natural wood look, while solid stains will cover more of the natural wood grain. If the product goes longer than recommended without staining, it will need to be sanded and may require a semi-solid or solid stain. Our powder-coated aluminum posts prevent rusting and provide stability to your screen. This screen is no-dig and very easy to install without tearing up your yard or leaving large holes behind.
