Well, we just got 18” of snow here so this unit is not going to be installed any time soon but I’m really looking forward to trying it. We have relatives that have these in hot weather and they work great to cool a room without having to have the expense of having a central unit or pay the electric bill for cooling the entire house. The inverter option is great for climates that have short winters for the same reason noted above, no furnace needed! Heat up a room for the cold hours of the night and that’s it. The remote is a must, but these work great with the thermostat so just set the temperature you’re comfortable with and that’s it! This arrived very quickly and was packaged very securely so it arrived in perfect condition. It's much heavier than I expected, but that's a good thing since you don't want this tipping over. There was no assembly, so from opening the box to getting it going was quick and easy. So far, it works as expected. The remote has a lot of useful functions including turn off and on the lights at night to reduce the brightness for light sleepers. A few things to know beforehand. Very quiet compared to most brands I’ve had. I do think it could be a littler cooler on max but it will eventually cooldown the room and maintain good temp after. This dryer is awesome. It seems like it takes longer than a normal dryer, but it really doesn't. We don't have to run it 3 times to dry towels. It can fit a lot of towels. It can dry our king size comforter with ease. It uses about 1/4 the power of our old normal dryer. It also is really good at removing pet hair from clothes.
