These are very pretty plates. They arrived packaged extremely well. I really like the lip around the plate in theory, but the squareish shape of it makes it difficult to grab off a stack of dishes. I store them standing up so no worries. I took off one star because I didn't think the description made it clear there was a brown rim on the bottom.
