I bought this a couple months ago, we decided to put it up yesterday. We had a lot of problems putting the gable mesh up. The directions said to hold it tight, screw it in. Nothing about where to start placing the screws first (top, bottom, middle, end?) after a lot of trial and error we got the first one up, the second one was easier and the rest of was simple to do. Great design, All the parts were there, had some spares which was nice. Everything was labeled correctly and it all went together smoothly. Only issue was removing the plastic from the roofing. Took one person 3 days to put up. Very easy with the instructions. Looks great. Very solid. Will buy curtains to block out sunweather. After weeks of debating on which one to purchase, I believe I made the best decision. Can’t be happier. The only con was shipping. This is an excellent product and if you have building skills, it's a breeze to put together! I bought this because it would work for my project. I was able to fully box in the pergola posts into my deck and keep everything flush mounted. The final trim and skirting have not been installed yet however, you get the idea! We got this gazebo in Oct 2025 on sale. Upon unpacking, you could see it had high quality components. We found a few dents and scratches from shipping, but nothing requiring replacement of parts. The instructions were clear (with some tips below). It took us 4 days to build the structure with mostly one person and some help from others from time to time. Overall, we are very happy with the design, look, quality and sturdiness of the gazebo. Some tips (1) We used a cordless drill and 10mm hex bit, which sped things up. We used a 6 ft ladder, but an 8 ft ladder would have been better (and safer). (2) For Steps 3, 4 and 5, leave all connections loose until all hardware is connected. Then in Step 5, with a level, ensure posts are vertical as you tighten the outside screws of the angle brackets. We did not tighten the inside screws of the angle brackets (closest to the posts) because they brought the posts out of vertical. We waited until the very end to tighten them as much as possible. (3) Step 11 is very tricky and you will need 3 people to help lift and hold up the roof frame while the 4th person connects the diagonal members to the main frame. The trick is to keep the one connected end propped up while connecting the other end. The rest of the assembly was straight-forward. I bought some colour-matching oil-based rust paint to cover all of the exposed hardware heads. The hardware is coated but some of it rubbed off during assembly. Great product!. Tdotodot. Canada. Great kit! Precise cuts, quality hardware and clear, well thought out instructions. The stain appeared to be somewhat thin so I stained every piece prior to assembly, 3 coats. Used Sherwin Williams exterior wood stain. Built on 4" thick concrete that we also stained. Drilled out the supplied post mounting brackets to 1/2" I.D. and used Tapcon 1/2" x 4" masonry anchors, 4 per post to secure structure to slab. We are very satisfied with the finished product.. Bought this louvered roof pergola for and add on protection and to get some shade in the afternoon near the pool. Construction is well made, you need to take in consideration it will take two days, and 3 people to get this done, but the result is magnificent! I personally had to poor a concreete slab for the hottub. for the Gazebo itself it took me the weekend to install it with my brothers help. def a 2 man job and I wouldnt expect to instlal it by yourself. Im writing this on vacation so I will have to get a pic when I get home and edit my review later. But IO highly reccomend this to anyone that needs some shade from the sun and has a yard to fit it.. We recently had a paver patio installed and knew we wanted a hardtop gazebo to go with it. I did a lot of researching and found purple leaf to have some of the best reviews. The color and quality of this gazebo exceeds all expectations! The delivery did come in a few different boxes. We thought we didn’t receive the lights. I quickly reached out to purple leaf and they responded right away. We ended up finding the lights and finished putting the gazebo together.
