We currently have 6 of these in our 92K sq. ft. office building and as the person who takes care of these I can tell you that when they are working they are a great asset. After 5 years of being installed we are consistently having problems with 2 of them turning off. After replacing every single electrical component including the dedicated outlets that these are plugged into we are still having problems. I will give this a 4 because overall I like the appearance and the sturdiness of this rain barrel. However I had to make some alterations to this barrel to suit my needs. First of all the hose holder is insufficient as it is currently configured. It doesn't seat tightly in the hole provided and sometimes comes off when removing the hose. I cut off the 2 prongs on the back so the back was flat. I used a stainless-steel screw to attach it to the barrel. Problem solved, It works great. Second- The openings on the black top cover are a bit too large and will let more debris in than desired. I cut a piece of screen to fit over it and attached it with 6 four inch wire ties. Problem solved, It works great. Third- The nipple at the bottom of the barrel that the hose clamps too is rather small in diameter and a potential weak spot over time IMO. I cut it off, drilled a 1 and an eighth inch hole and replaced it with a bulkhead adapter to fit a standard garden hose. Works great. If you are somewhat handy all these are doable.. Louis.
