I went to pick up the box off the patio... again, thinking these were probably some cheap light weight metal brackets, but the box was heavy! quite heavy. I brought them in and pulled them out of the box and was very surprised and pleased at the weight and quality of these brackets. We had spent a lot of money on a large under mount hand hammered copper metal sink and i was concerned about the weight of the sink being carried by just the cabinet. i found these online and took a shot at them. very stout piece of metal and nice construction. Yes, this lamp is expensive, but yes, it’s FABULOUS! Purchased two for bedroom nightstands and I couldn’t be happier. They were very well packaged and arrived in perfect condition. The light ivory shade is also perfect and the top crystal ball tightens down nicely so the shade doesn’t spin around. Another lamp on the Perigold/Wayfair site by Robert Abbey looks very similar and the same price as this one, however, in reading the reviews for the other lamp, the top crystal piece that holds the shade in place doesn’t screw down tightly and just spins around; thus making the shade also move. This lamp has a 3-way switch, so it looks gorgeous with the dimmest setting, but brightness can be increased with just a turn of the switch. After spending long periods studying different techniques, D’Alessandro's art became increasingly influenced by artists from the early 1900s. During D’Alessandro’s studies, he painted many different themes. He painted with restless intensity, often painting from morning until night. D’Alessandro was able to indulge his earliest artistic preferences for people, nature, architecture, and landscapes in his illustration and personal pieces. He also painted family, friends, and gardens. He has done commissioned work for a variety of clients in music, publishing, and editorial.
