Horizon 6.5" 3000K LED Downlight with Polycarbonate White Diffuser in White Finish. This commercial grade downlight is ideal for new construction when specified with a 4" x 2 1/8" square or octagonal J box. It is also conveniently UL Listed for wet conditions only indoor wet locations such as above a shower. For exterior they would need to be installed in damp location such as a covered porch, soffit, etc.. A place where the fixtures would not receive direct saturation.

Honestly I haven’t had the chance to install this yet but I have several friends that have used these before and it didn’t seem to be difficult. This 6 in. Sloped Ceiling Non-IC Recessed Housing with Quick Link Connector has several great installation features plus an Air-Tight rating. It is ideal for non-IC new construction applications. Its gasketed Air-Tight housing restricts airflow from conditioned spaces into unconditioned attic space, preventing unnecessary HVAC costs and improving the overall home energy efficiency. The housing and frame are constructed from die-formed corrosion resistant galvanized steel. The lamp housing compartment can be adjusted to fit ceiling thicknesses from in. to 1 in. The socket position can be adjusted to accommodate ceiling pitches from 2/12 to 7/12 pitch. It features a universal J-box with snap-out sides. Wiring is made easy with the included wiring quick-connects that allow simple installation of 12-20 AWG wire without using separate wire nuts - simply strip supply wires and push in. The housing has pre-installed nails on the adjustable hanger bars which are easily installed in regular lumber, engineered lumber, and laminated beams. Hanger bars include t-bar mounting clamps for use in suspended t-grid ceilings. The bar hangers have a maximum span of 24 in. and are scored in two locations for fast, clean breaking, allowing housing installation in very narrow joist spacings.
