This thing is a beast. The company that makes it usually sells it for over $1000. This is the place to buy. The instructions weren't crystal clear but we got the hang of it. There were a couple of random springs with no instructions as to what to do with them. AI came in handy. There was one piece of metal that was slightly bent and prevented the top grate from sliding in but it was easily remedied with a mallet. It is precisely 30dx40w without the skirt. I'm not impressed with the wooden dowels and am ordering other types of perches to install. For this price those tiny little side issues were totally worth it. My cockatiel's name is Angel and she has been with us for around 23 years or so. I recently had purchased a large cage for her but it was way too big and she stayed in one corner on a perch all the time. This cage seems more comforting for one bird, or two. It was easy to finish putting together all but the side clips but I figured it out. AND very nice was the bonus toys, skirt feed catcher, which fit like a charm. THANK YOU VERY MUCH. We bought this addition for our ferrets house HOPING it was the right one to fit. It fit like a glove. Our ONLY complaint is that the front panel had the brackets (to attach it to our existing cage) welded on the top, so we had to install it upside down to make it work. The door swings on the left, not the right, which is backwards, but it works. We just turned the latching hardware around to make it lock "right". Thankfully we are handy enough to figure that out.. It's a decent cage but came with some screws that were not really ideal for putting it together. Also instructions were a little vague but not too hard to figure out and takes longer than 45 minutes to put together even with 2 people even using a power drill. Also power drill is a must since they only made holes on one side of it to put together. Also, there could of been better attachment pieces for the top and bottom without having to add locks on it. Cage was shipped in the original box. A few bars are bent however they function properly. Some bent bars are to be expected with thin wire cages. Put together in five minutes on my own. I got this for when I travel with my two green cheek conures. The divider does its job. It can be pushed out by the birds so I clipped it to the cage. My two conures are aggressive to eachother but also very bonded so they always have to be close. I recommend using the divider for traveling at least so one bird doesn't injure another. I thought the bowls would be a problem but they stick their heads right in to get food and water. You will need clips for the front doors if you have birds that like to escape. This cage has a great size for small animals, thus for my two young female mice it's huge. It's really good that we don't need any tool to assemble the cage, it's just adjust the wires and use the clips to fix it with the bottom. The bottom is sturdy ans strong, I like it a lot. It just don't have 5 stars because the wires of one side stayed with a larger gap then the other, so I had to put the plataform on the front opening side to prevent the scape of my young mice.
