This is the quietest range hood I have ever used with an unique design. The installation is straight forward for most with video tutorial online that's readily available. I went with a professional installation. This range hood is rated at 1100cfm and the unique design has worked very well. My home no longer smells even when I deep fry. I did two modifications for my installation. I went with a Zephyr 6"-8" duct increaser. The reason I did this is because the range hood is rated over 1000cfm. This might not be necessary but it's a choice I made for myself because of the rated CFM. My installation required a 4" spacer piece. I used 6" 10-32 fine thread screws to secure my upper cabinet to the range hood to make up the 4" spacer difference. This is not necessary according to Fotile but I went the extra mile for $13 more in screws, bolts, and washers. So far I am very satisfied with how quiet and powerful it is. The power on the Fotile range hood is excellent. For most cooking, I stay on the first 2 out of 3 fan settings. Looks beautiful!! Love it!! Even on the quiet mode it is somewhat louder than expected. It really moves the smoke and smells out of the house though!! The noise from the fan doesn’t bother me as much as it may some others but for the price I did expect it to be more quiet but it has 2 powerful fans!! 3 weeks in. So far this thing is amazing. Very quiet, dynamic controls that allow me to schedule increased capacity while my PV is producing electricity, increasing capacity with internal mixing valve while keeping it in heat pump only mode. It’s very efficient, Designers and engineers were definitely listening to the community of heat pump hot water heater users and stepped it up. I’m converting from an upright to a canister vacuum, so I’ve had to change my technique in how I vacuum the house. Instead of starting at one end of the room and then stepping backward to make the next path as I’ve always done with an upright, that way just doesn’t work for a few reasons, but to keep this brief, instead I now pick a section of the room to start (my rooms are small to average in size at only 1100 sq feet total), so it’s usually towards the center of the room where I position the canister vacuum and begin a starburst pattern. I keep the canister vacuum relatively in the same spot, until I am ready to begin in another section. This way there is less moving of the canister vacuum. Now the hose and handle are quite long when combined on the Kenmore canister vacuum, not to mention sturdy, so I only reposition 2 or 3 times in my smaller-size rooms, and I’m done in that room. Pros are, it gets under furniture much easier than an upright, hands down, and it is quieter. A bonus of this machine is you can control the suction, and therefore that is done with changing the speed of the motor, so if you can do light cleaning at a lower suction and not feel like your waking the entire house., The noise level drops dramatically. For me, this alone seals the deal on this cleaning machine. I also liked that all the tools are stored on the body of the vacuum and covered, so they’re not getting knocked off, and I’m not having to constantly run to the closet to dig through a bag of parts looking for the right attachment. All full size vacuums should follow Kenmore ways of thinking and designing vacuum cleaners in my opinion. Even though I found my work around in my style of vacuuming, it is a bit more difficult to carry around, a bit bulky, but I am not at all regretting my purchase of a canister vac, and I highly recommend the option pop and go bagged canister vacuum by Kenmore. I think it does just as good, if not better, of a job than vacuums two or three times higher in price. It’s built sturdy, which makes it a little heavier, but I expect it to last for many, many years. I suggest you give this vacuum a test yourself and see if you agree. Oh I almost forgot, one last thing I think you should know, it seems to pick up dog hair on hard surfaces better than upright models that I’ve vacuumed with in the past.. Thomas. Palm Springs, CA.
