Very disappointed! Purchased this item based on reviews posted unreliable. My main reason for purchase of this item was ease of installation and it offered a night light, however there was no parts list included so I have no idea what the wattage of the bulbs is or where to purchase for replacement. The bulbs do not screw in, they plug in. The top of the unit is not flat preceeding the front angle as shown in the diagram. The unit sticks out farther than the cabinet. Stainless formed with lots of up and down impressions which makes cleaning difficult. Need to cover with some type molding possibly. No Contact information or website for manufacture. The power on the Fotile range hood is excellent. For most cooking, I stay on the first 2 out of 3 fan settings. For high smoke activities such as seasoning a wok or searing steak, the 3rd settings is more than enough to suck up all the fumes. The fan speeds are all pretty quiet. Nice piece, but it's really more of an institutional item and assumes that you are replacing an existing urinal or have framing in place to accommodate an install. Installing this in a dry-walled garage, for instance, will take some doing including cutting away drywall and add 2x4 supports. The 8000 BTU cooling power is well suited for rooms up to 300 square feet, and it does a great job bringing the temperature fairly quickly without running excessively loud. The airflow is strong at 256 CFM, which helps distribute the cool air evenly throughout the room. One of the biggest advantages is the built in electric heat (4200BTU), making it useful year round. The smart features, 24 hours timer, auto restart, and remote control make it convenient to operate without constantly adjusting the unit manually. The use of R-32 refrigerant is also a plus since it is more efficient and environmentally friendly compared to older models. The built quality is sturdier and typical for Friedrich products, which are known for their high durability. Installation does require a proper thru the wall sleeve, so it is not as simple as installing a standard window unit, but once installed it looks clean and integrated.
