The flap is thick and has magnets that are solid but not too strong to keep our cats (ranging from 13 to 19 lbs) from going back and forth for their catio that lives outside the slider door. I also bought a Pressure Sensitive Mat that Chimes when she is inside and approaches the door so that I know when she wants to go out. Looks well made and sturdy. This is my first stick vacuum, so I don't have anything to compare it to. I would give the suction 3 stars and the features 5 stars. I love the charging stand, I'm glad it doesn't have to go on the wall. It's also light and gets into corners easily.
