Excellent piece of furniture! I was concerned with some reviews stating that it was difficult to put together or holes didn’t line up but we had no issues. It is a very sturdy piece of furniture and the storage drawers are very handy to keep items needed (we put treat bags, leashes, collars, etc.) I added baskets to the storage area to keep it organized. I really appreciate that there are doors to access from the front or sides giving options for entrance and exit points. We have small dogs (pugs) but also foster for a pug rescue so this makes it easy to keep our own dogs on one side and a rescue on the other side without needing to have crates all over the house. They have way more space than needed. This would easily hold a bigger dog. (Although I don't know about the strength of the sliding doors with strong heavy dogs.) The only other thing I suggest is that it would come with the plastic crate trays. We want those for easy clean up. (We just ordered some online from another retailer.) This is a nice structure and fits well in our space below a window, but I want to give this like 3.5 stars because it's pretty good but 2 things I didn't notice while purchasing: (1) the cover is just a clear plastic tarp and seems very flimsy. (2) All the platforms are on the same side, kind of stacked up on the back wall of the catio, so it's hard for cats to get from level to level. The one hole in the top platform is too small for my chonky boy to get through, and my other senior cats don't really like it. They're not kittens! Would have been nice to have the platforms staggered on both sides of the cage so they could leap to get up to the top and back down to the bottom. It took about 3 hours to put together. I used a power screw driver which worked well. A few screws went too far and cracked the wood. If you plan on only using the tool provided it will take a lot longer and I imagine your hand will hurt by the end. The instructions were a little hard to follow. I ended up putting some steps together incorrectly and I am a seasoned furniture builder. I ended up not using one of the ramps due to the mishap. The cats love it so far. This Carrier is just PHENOMENAL! We have a 9 month old domestic shorthair who comes along on car rides with us several days a week. We Googled "animal carrier with clear plastic top" because we dearly wanted to have a good view of him AND wanted to be able to safely interact with him as we travel. When we used his original kitten carrier, it was more like putting him in jail. We couldn't get a good look at him, and the "door" was just metal bars. This gorgeous round Space Capsule Carrier fits purrfectly with his desire to snuggle down into a donut shape. A couple of the pictures with Wayfair's listing made me think that the rotating front was "frosted" and not clear. VERY happy to report that the front is crystal clear and lightly tinted. And the moveable front also has about 4 stops or stages, so that the door doesn't slam down loudly or unexpectedly. Do not hesitate to order this!
