The directions are awful, there's a youtube video that shows a guy setting up a similar gate, his is French door style but the set up is very similar so it was helpful because we were totally lost trying to figure it out. Anyway its perfect for our needs. We needed to keeo 3 if our cats separate from one cat. They can slip through sometimes by messing with the side pole to move it over just enough to slip through but still this is a good enough solution for us. My two kitties love their new space! We have two 9 months old kitties that we rescued when they were 3 12 weeks old. They are indoor cats but we wanted to give them a safe sanctuary when are not home. I put the structure together myself and it probably would have gone quicker if I had help but I took my time and the instructions were easy enough to follow. The wood is strong enough for indoor but I don’t think it would last long outside in the elements. I didn’t use the roofing material that came with it since I have it inside the house.
