I waited a little bit to write this review because I was really frustrated after unpacking the box. There are no instructions on how to assemble as a crate, it only included instructions on use as a playpen. When you go to the Hiddin website there are videos of the crate assembly that show it being super simple, which is generally true, but out of the box, all of the pieces are still covered in the paper used to cut the acrylic. It does not come off in one sheet, so it took a significant amount of time and I ended up with several cuts on my knuckles from the sharp edges of the acrylic. I was really disappointed in the amount of time and the amount of mess that was required and unboxing the crate. I expected it to be a lot smoother given the premium price of this product. The unboxing aside, the crate is nice easy to take apart and clean. And also seems sturdy as our high energy, muscular dog tried to test whether or not she could escape and was not successful. This Carrier is just PHENOMENAL! We have a 9 month old domestic shorthair who comes along on car rides with us several days a week. We Googled "animal carrier with clear plastic top" because we dearly wanted to have a good view of him AND wanted to be able to safely interact with him as we travel. When we used his original kitten carrier, it was more like putting him in jail. We couldn't get a good look at him, and the "door" was just metal bars. This gorgeous round Space Capsule Carrier fits purrfectly with his desire to snuggle down into a donut shape. A couple of the pictures with Wayfair's listing made me think that the rotating front was "frosted" and not clear. VERY happy to report that the front is crystal clear and lightly tinted. And the moveable front also has about 4 stops or stages, so that the door doesn't slam down loudly or unexpectedly. Do not hesitate to order this!
