The front apron sticks out over FIVE inches from the cabinet (unless we wanted to modify our cabinet and our counters...which we did not, that was the whole point of buying this sink). It's a shame, it was a really nice sink and far superior to the one we had to buy to find our cabinet/counters. These are really great LED lights for a new construction. We purchased in both 4 inch and 6 inch sizes and they match perfectly. We also changed some of the light sizes before our ceiling went out but after the rough electrical was finished, and the same j-boxes for either light works flawlessly which each diameter size, which is a helpful feature, in case you end up changing your mind on the light size after rough electrical installation..
