This door is absolutely gorgeous! This picture translates as a bit lighter than the actual color which is more a dark walnut with a hint of redwood. The wood and windows are very high quality. It did not come with the lock hole, but no problem there. It even came with markers to fill in any holes or hide imperfections. Nice shower door I suppose. I’ve never installed a frameless one before. I did so as you can see from the picture. So far so good. 3/8” glass door feels substantial and it is indeed heavy. Having said that, I would strongly suggest the hinge side be mounted into wall stud. Dreamline provides the anchors and screws. But again, the U channel holds the hinge panel, and the top bracket actually handles the load. Fortunately for me on the rebuilding of the shower I triple studded that wall in preparation for a shower door. 4 stars because the directions are atrocious. They send you manuals for every door in several languages. It’s up to the home owner or installer to pick through the sections that apply. I think that’s cheap and ridiculous. Dreamline should also consider making model specific instructional videos for the buyers (put them online!) That would be extremely helpful. Lastly, the Allen wrenches supplied are quite feeble and cheap. I also recommend having your own hex tools available especially if you need to adjust the over-pivot screws in the hinge.
