My 12 year old son and I had no problem assembling this in about an hour. I the wood is not as thick/sturdy as I had hoped. I think it will be excellent for our first 4 chickens. We were very surprised at the quality, especially for the price. You can't buy the wood for what this pen cost. Assembly was also fairly easy ; it only took a couple of hours and our little Silkies {bantam chickens with white feathers that look like hair, black skin, and five toes} were all settled in. After just a few months the floor had rotted out, the doors warped and no longer closed securely, and the staples holding the screens started popping out and several of the birds got out and were killed by the neighbor's dog. Easy assembly however it does take about 6 hours to but together. There were a few undrilled boards. Also the cover doesn't stay on with windy days with it being Velcro. We just finished putting our coop together. All items were in the box and labeled. It was a big task putting it together but instructions were easy to follow. The coop is really nice but light weight. Need to stake into the ground. Our chickens are too young to put in there but are excited for that day.
