I had a cracked plasterboard ceiling where it had seam tape constantly coming apart. Surface was flat, but seam tape just would not hold... So, decided to try these Polystyrene Clue up Ceiling Tile.. I prepainted them white before gluing them up.. I got my center lines and started from center out so tile would be balanced on the ceiling... The ceiling looks great... Feels like I am sleeping in an old Victorian Church since ceiling are done. I liked it so much I installed these tiles in my small bathroom ceiling... This ceiling medallion added an element of historic design to my renovation. Note that the bluish areas in the photo are actually cut out, and when installed, your ceiling will show through in those spots. Center area around the opening is thicker than the edges. I changed out the light plate cover to a deeper profile. Applied easily with construction adhesive and temporarily held in place with tape till the adhesion dried.
