Good materials and overall sturdy but it’s not easy to put together. You pretty much NEED a drill and two people. The center supporting legs do not all reach the floor so sitting down on it can cause noise. The frame is also bigger than a queen size mattress so there will definitely be a gap on one end.. This bed is a great piece of furniture. I love that it is solid wood. It matches my current bedroom furniture perfectly. While the instructions seemed simple enough to assemble, a couple of pieces did not fit together well and I had to order replacement parts. Once I received those it was fairly simple to assemble but I would suggest having a rubber mallet as some of the parts fit very tightly together.
