This dining set is beautiful and matches perfectly with the china cabinet. The wood appears to be of good quality. OK, first of all let me just say we did have an issue with shipping. The first one arrived and it had a blemish on the top. It had been hit at some point during delivery, so we contacted Wayfair and they were more than happy to send us another table. This set is beautiful, a perfect size for my space. It is as pictured. The cherry finish is not overly “ red”. Matches my cabinetry very well. Solid feeling set, chain/ gears for the expansion leaf. There was a small nick in table edge, should cover easily. There was a scratch , maybe just in the varnish, of the pedestal base, won’t easily be seen. It’s really pretty looking dining set. The chairs came first and well packed then the table arrived 3 days later. It’s easy to assemble. I like the idea that I don’t have to take out the leaf extension , just fold and it goes underneath the table. I had a little problem when i opened the box (table) the hardware box was opened, bolts and washers are everywhere.
