This rug is soft underfoot and while it’s just 2 people and 2 dogs on it for a couple days so far - it also seems to stay put without any extra assistance from grip tape or what have you - it could be a tad bit thicker for comfort but since i mainly got it to assist elderly dogs feet i am happy with it as is. Purchased this for our front entryway. It's an attractive mat. When I selected it online, I thought the dots in between the diamond patterns were just white painted rubber, but they are in fact metal-backed crystal rivets. The only issue I had was the mat came with a missing rivet, but overall, the quality is nice. Have not placed it outside yet, since our current mat is fused down with ice and snow.
