This blender emulsified a small portion of vegetables well. It has done the job I needed. I gave it 4 stars because I did have to open the container a couple of times to push the food into the blades. A pusher would be a good addition for the blender. After use, hand-wash them, dry them and put them away ... theyll look beautiful for a longer period of time. Afterall, for such a low price, they are a bargain if you treat them well. If you live hard, then splurge on the REAL GOOD stuff if you want utensil longevity. As for me im not ready to splurge just yet. Just what I needed at an amazing price. I had to find a small model that could do both because I lack counter and cabinet space. I use this daily and it sits on my counter. The food processor fits quite a bit of food (4 cups)and also come with a shredder/slicer which is a bonus. The blender is full size. My first Cuisinart was a wedding gift and lasted over 25 years.
