This rug is so pretty! Its also very soft. It looks like the picture minus the silver sheen you see on the rug depending on your angle, but it will be less or more sheen depending on the traffic and fabric fibers moving. When you are standing directly on the rug the sheen is harder to see. The rug gives a distressed, faded look so that may be why some will feel it doesnt look like the picture. The video on here is correct in showing that the rug has a lighter side and darker side depending on your angle but it doesnt take away from the design of there rug. This rug in beige definitely reads more gray than beige or white in person, which worked out perfectly — it matches Sherwin-Williams Morris Room Grey (SW0037) beautifully since it’s still a warm gray. The pattern has lots of very subtle colors, including brown, steely blue, and rust/burnt orange, which add depth and interest without overwhelming the space. It rolled out fairly nicely after a couple of days — I used hand weights to help flatten it. There’s a very slight fringe, but it hasn’t caused any issues with my robot vacuum. Also, there was no smell when unrolled. We’re using it on hardwood in a cozy living room and paired it with the Wayfair Basics Non-Slip Rug Pad 1/4″ underneath, which adds a bit of cushion and keeps everything in place.
