It can be used with porcelain or stainless steel basin sinks, and has a wide textured-grip that allows you to hand tighten in seconds, with zero leaks or tools required (except for putty above the seal). The polished chrome looks great, and the push-down seal is ideal for application with wall-mounted or even hands-free commercial faucets. Im very pleased with this oil rubbed bronze drain. I was looking for an oil rubbed bronze color drain to match all of my other oil rubbed bronze bathroom fixtures and this fit perfectly. We just replaced the cover of the drain because the cover is made of metal, not plastic. Hopefully this oil rubbed bronze drain doesn't peel off like the last drain cover we just replaced.. Natasha.
