Did a lot of research on daybeds, and this one checked off a lot of what I needed. This one can hold a good amount of weight vs. others, plus it takes 8in matress vs. 5 or 6. It also pops all the way up so it can be used as a split king. I scanned lots of reviews on others looking for one that I could use a 10in matress since adults would be using at times. I took a chance off others reviews and went with a 10in mattress, and it paid off. This bed works great with the 10in mattresses. I have just enough clearance, and the bed pulls out easily. We dont have carpet, so I dont know how that would play a role with pull out. Have not used as a split king yet but did by a bridge and velcro straps to secure the beds together just in case. Could see the weld marks but feels sturdy and comfortable and was easy to set up. Would have loved if it had the auto pop up but can be set up by one with just a little work.. Anonymous. Indiana.
