Negatives: time to assemble over 2 hours, thin MDF panels. Positives: very affordable desk, has room for a large monitor, a full desktop computer, plenty of accessories, and functional drawers. Other thoughts: I think the panels are thin, but they're holding 120 pounds with my setup and the desk feels solid enough. I recommend assembling it on the same floor where you will place it, if not in the same room. Definitely suggest having two people if you need to move it.. Kevin. Savage, MD. Mon Oct 12 2026

Durable, easy to clean, and simple to assemble with clear instructions, it offers reliable performance for both home offices and study areas.

After days of obsessively flipping through every page for a writing desk I found the perfect one for me. Set aside some time to assemble this one; there's more pieces than you'd anticipate, and the directions could certainly be more detailed. However, if a non-mechanically inclined person like me can assemble this desk by themselves you can too! Tip, whatever step you're on that includes the round screw locks be sure to get them all in while you have the hand space to do so, and always make sure the two primary table top pieces are facing the right way with the smooth sides facing up. It took me 5 1/2 hours to assemble by myself, but as I said I'm also not the first person you'd call to fix or assemble things. The results? The desk is as beautiful and functional as I'd hoped it would be, and it arrived within only a few days of ordering it. This is probably a psychological effect, but I especially like the walled border because it helps me focus on what's in front of me. You can purchase this one with confidence; I can't imagine anyone being disappointed with it.. Tim. CA. Wed Jul 29 2020
