I bought this 3' x 5' rug pad to try to get my area rug to stop inching it's way across my hall carpet. I received it in the time specified and it was as described on the web site. When I opened it there was no odor coming from the pad. I didn't have to cut it which was nice. After vacuuming both carpets I placed the pad between the carpet and the area rug. I had to look up how to put the pad - felt side down toward the carpet and rubber side against the area rug. A quick set-up sheet would have saved me some time and effort. The pad has added some cushion which makes it nicer to walk on. As for the traveling area rug, it has slowed down and only moves a centimeter or so a day. I don’t have many pictures of the original rug left by itself because I am layered it with a bungalow rose machine washable rug, as I had two 8 x 10 rugs and my space required a little bit more and I love the layered look what I can tell you is that machine washable rugs are amazing. I genuinely like this rug, though it possesses a few characteristics worth mentioning. On the positive side, the packaging was excellent; the rug was easy to unwrap and showed no signs of curling upon being laid out. I originally purchased it for indoor use, but because the coir material is much firmer than I expected, I am relocating to my outdoor terrace. My only significant critique concerns its maintenance.
