Excellent rug, quite soft, and very cushy. Great as a runner! The pattern is modern and muted, and not purposefully "antique" which lends to my pro tip: even if you buy cheap stuff, buy things made of natural materials, not intentionally styled as aged, and buy what you love. Your home will look effortlessly curated and classy. As for the negative reviews... the rug wasn't yellow as some other folks reported, but boy is she a shedder at first. But that's just what you should expect with a brand new wool rug. Do a few extracurricular rounds of excessive vacuuming, and you'll get drastically less daily shedding. Unfortunately the only real con I've run into is that it's taken a long time to fully smooth out, even being weighted down on raised areas. I'd definitely suggest this rug for people with cats with penchants for stretching their little greasy mitts on anything that feels remotely textured - I really wanted a wool rug but without loops, or as close to no loops as possible. Shockingly hard to find! I think the search term is "cut pile" rug, which this one gets pretty close to. Any darker portion of the pattern is looped, while all lighter parts of this pattern are cut. Because the white rug was such a bright expanse of white, I wanted something with a pattern and something to dampen the white a bit. Now, I have to admit, I did a terrible thing, no doubt: The cream pattern in this rug what just a touch too off-white and busy, but when I flipped the rug, the subtle pattern and cream color was just perfect! The only reason I give a 4 rating instead of 5 is because the color on the web site was lighter and blue which is what I wanted. I have found Wayfair pictures had been pretty good representation of the actual color. This time I was disappointed. It's much darker and doesn't look blue. The packaging on the rug said Ivory/Blue. Bought the 5'*7' size for our nursery. Rug is very soft to the touch, feels good on bare feet. Was pretty much flat when I unrolled it, except for the corners. The smell of the rug dissapated really quickly, didn't require airing out. The dark color of the rug is made up of several different blue fibers, navy and lighter blues.
