Absolutely adorable bird house. We call it "The White House." We mounted it to a tree just outside of our sunroom, great room and dining room side of the house. And we also hung a bird feeder below it, so excited to see what bird type takes occupancy in their new birdie white house! Tip: Get the bird seed called "Squirrel Away" from Chewy (see pic); otherwise, the squirrels will eat all of the bird seed within a day or two. Love this bird house!!! Detail and quality is amazing! Highly recommended, and arrived in perfect shape. Tip: Before mounting the bird house, I would highly recommend to spray 2-3 coats of poly urethane over the entire house, to protect from the seasonal elements. Happy bird watching!. Debra. CA. The chapel birdhouse is inspired by the traditional gothic arches of European churches, this birdhouse has 1 ½” detailed entry holes for 6 nesting areas. These nesting areas are divided into approximately 3.5” x 3.5” areas and the divider can be removed for cleaning. The chapel birdhouse platform has drain holes on all four corners and the roof is removable for easy access and maintenance. The house also is vented near the roofline while still protecting the nesting cavities from the elements. The chapel birdhouse is constructed from PVC to last for many years of enjoyment without having to worry about rotting or cracking. This wren house includes a screw eye in the roof for hanging or can be screwed to a tree. It has an entrance with a predator guard and is made entirely out of thick western red cedar. Features grooves on the inside below the entrance for young birds leaving the box. They have an easy cleanout and provide good ventilation. The house has been planned and finished by sanding, assembled with stainless steel screws, and then coated with a wood protector. The houses make functional garden accents and are great gifts.

Wish the nail at top of front (that comes down to clean) would be longer than it is - it is really short. The roof is topped with sturdy pine shingles. Ventilation, drainage, and a removable back wall make this birdhouse as functional as it is spooky.

A piece of junk. When it arrived I noticed how light the box was. OK, not thick metal. I didnt pay much. But then I opened the box, and the pan wasnt even round. It was distorted, not dented in some accident. It looks like the holes drilled for the handles were too close together, and they forced it. The cheap metal obviously bent. Mount the house on a tall post or tree over a dense area of shrubs and small trees, preferably at the edge of a wooded area. After the birds are gone, the front of the house tilts out for easy cleaning. A latch at the bottom holds it securely in place. Cleaning is recommended in fall and again in early spring. This house is constructed of natural inland cedar. It is rough-sawn to give the fledglings a foothold when they are ready to climb out of the nest, and it will weather to a natural gray, blending in with its outdoor surroundings.
