Absolutely adorable bird house. We call it "The White House." We mounted it to a tree just outside of our sunroom, great room and dining room side of the house. And we also hung a bird feeder below it, so excited to see what bird type takes occupancy in their new birdie white house! Tip: Get the bird seed called "Squirrel Away" from Chewy (see pic); otherwise, the squirrels will eat all of the bird seed within a day or two. Love this bird house!!! Detail and quality is amazing! In the summer of 1961 hundreds of birds attacked the town. Alfred Hitchcock, who was a regular visitor to nearby Santacruz, read about this episode and went on to direct a film. The birds are based on the idea of hundreds of birds attacking humans. The reason for this attack remained unknown for over 25 years until it was discovered that the birds had been affected by domoic acid, a toxin produced by red algae. This house comes equipped with a mounting bracket for easy installation. A hole will allow wrens, finches, chickadees, nuthatches, and titmice to nest. The roof is topped with sturdy pine shingles. Ventilation, drainage, and a removable back wall make this house fully equipped for years of use.

This wren house includes a screw eye in the roof for hanging or can be screwed to a tree. It has an entrance with a predator guard and is made entirely out of thick western red cedar. Features grooves on the inside below the entrance for young birds leaving the box. They have an easy cleanout and provide good ventilation. The house has been planned and finished by sanding, assembled with stainless steel screws, and then coated with a wood protector. The houses make functional garden accents and are great gifts.

Wish the nail at top of front (that comes down to clean) would be longer than it is - it is really short.
