This .25 inch thick rug pad is actually great with the rug I chose to top it off. It has a rubberized backing and was packaged folded up with a plastic covering. This photo is the rug and pad I purchased only had to trim pad to fit round rug which was useful cause I got to use it on some other rugs cut up pieces so I hold them in place and our floors are very cold so the pad was needed. This rug has a very classic design and is very soft. It does show splotches of greybrown appearing in different areas, but I discovered it is the lay of the pile in the rug. Brushed one way, it is white and the opposite way, it shows up as what I thought were stains in this rug. It probably should be vacuumed daily, and it will likely wear for a long time.
