Update 524 Contacted Wayfair the day I found my dented bottom piece. They got me in touch with Monument Grills the same day through their support. Monument Grills shipped out a new replacement base plate and I received it today. Excellent customer service. Changed my review from one star to 4. Would of made it a 5 if I didnt have to go through having to contact Support in the first place. Used the grill a few times now. Cooks great. Came dented. I read numerous reviews stating theirs were dented. I decided to roll the dice. No luck. My dent was on the side of the lower base plate. It affected the uniform shape of the grill. Really had to tighten screws to get things to go. The right door just falls off when I open it because the lower peg is slightly unaligned. Hopefully I can contact someone and get this replaced. Update 524 Contacted Wayfair the day I found my dented bottom piece. They got me in touch with Monument Grills the same day through their support. Monument Grills shipped out a new replacement base plate and I received it today. Excellent customer service. Changed my review from one star to 4. Would of made it a 5 if I didnt have to go through having to contact Support in the first place. Used the grill a few times now. Cooks great. Came dented. I read numerous reviews stating theirs were dented. I decided to roll the dice. No luck. My dent was on the side of the lower base plate. It affected the uniform shape of the grill. Really had to tighten screws to get things to go. The right door just falls off when I open it because the lower peg is slightly unaligned. Hopefully I can contact someone and get this replaced. This order arrived 4 days after I placed the order. though I tracked the package each day, after I received the ‘order received’ email, I didn’t receive anything else until after I was putting it together, when I received the ‘delivered’ email. Construction was slightly thinner stainless steel, compared to the grill this one is replacing. I opened the box to look for directions and had to remove everything from the box to find the booklet. It should be the last thing placed in the box during packaging. The instruction booklet is poorly written and images, while not great, were adequate. On the box lid was a QR Code to the manufacturers website with a video describing how to put the grill together. Watch it twice and the instruction booklet will make sense. There was plenty of hardware for the unit but I would have preferred to see lock-washers included for most of the screws used to put the cabinet together (‘EE’ screws). Decently constructed, but not all stainless- there's plastic where they could get away with it. The glass seems like a good idea, but it gets dirty and doesn't clean well or easily. Glad that wasn't a deciding purchase factor. But the grates are good and after 4 years of frequent (2-4x per week) use, the burner shields are still holding up fine.
