Burner works great! Only minus is the lighting on this 700 series is unable to connect thru the 500 series BBQ. It requires a separate and expensive power supply to activate the lights. The bbq is great for the most part. A few details leave something to be desired. The drip pan doesn’t line up very well so it hits the edge and drips a bit into the bottom beside the propane tank. The door doesn’t latch solidly either (the magnet is terrible and small). The side burner runs very hot even at the lowest temperature which is a bit annoying as you have to get something to raise it so it isn’t so close to the flame if you don’t want to burn whatever you have on there.. Out of the box, this griddle will NOT fit a Prestige 450, but I found it was easily altered to fit. As it is designed to fit the larger surface area of a Prestige 500, the rear spacer needs 1/4” cut off each side, and a small notch cut (see attached photos). The griddle is also too large front to back, but a couple of self-tapping screws along the back edge and inside the front lip of the barbecue prevent any movement. This griddle is really well made. Being stainless steel, there’s no seasoning needed - just clean with water after use to steam clean any food residue off. This kettle grill is great! Lots of room, great fire control, love the cast iron grates. The cart rolls very easily, is very sturdy, and has a ton of space to store accessories. We mounted this on the wall and it's great. I have a half wall that I didn't know what to do with, I wanted a fireplace in that area, one that gives a warm glow and cozy ambience. This fireplace did just that. I can lay on my couch and watch TV while enjoying the warm glow of this unit. It's also very easy to operate.
