My feral cat had kittens in this box about 4 months ago and has been sleeping in it at night ever since. She goes underneath to lay in the shade, and also sits on top of the house to get a view. It’s cute watching her teach her kitten how to use it. Whole thing is insulated in the interior and made of wood. The wood will start to split in the weather which hasn’t affected it structurally so far, but if you’re handy it would make sense to cover the exterior with a coat of poly. Its very quiet and odor free for the most part. It does drop the waste on one side of the collection container so it gives a full notification sooner without the container really being full. Ive been using this for a few weeks and so far so good. Its been an adjustment for the cats because the motor scares them a little. But theyve come around one by one. The set up was very easy. And the app to control it works well. I like that I can monitor how much theyre using the box. Clean up has been a breeze which Ive never been able to say before with 4 cats. I love how open it is. I kind of wish this one came with the step. Im not sure if the cats would use it, though. I already have one, and it has the front opening. My cats are both good size. This ones a little bit easier. I think for cats to go in and out of. Im not sure how long the bottom piece will last as it seems to be more material than hard plastic. I have had this now for about a month and I love it. I plan on getting another one and replacing the other one as they use this one most often. The other is the typical small opening and the waste draw is small and always needs to be adjusted as nothing falls forward and I can't find the right size bags, no company to order supplies from..
