This ironing board cabinet is a smart space-saving solution. The cabinet is installed 3.5” into the wall, leaving a little more than 4 inches of cabinet sticking out from the wall. The cabinet can be installed with the cabinet door opening on the left or right, so you can install it on the side that makes the most sense for your space. The cabinet’s door exterior is a finished white that can be left as is or painted to match other cabinets in your space. Inside the cabinet is an ironing board that measures 11.75” wide and 41” long, large enough for comfortable ironing while still being small enough to not take up too much space. The ironing board can rotate a full 90 degrees to the right or left, giving you the flexibility to position the board in the most comfortable and convenient space in whatever area you install the cabinet in. The cabinet also has a built-in height adjustment slot for the board, allowing you to raise or lower the board two inches at any time after installation. The board includes a one-piece construction cover and pad with bungee cord binding and stain and scorch-resistant coating for superior durability. In addition to the ironing board, the cabinet has two interior shelves to house a small iron and/or ironing accessories. The top interior shelf has heat-resistant paneling to protect the shelf when stowing irons that are still warm. Additionally, the top corner of the cabinet door has a dual-pronged hook so you can hang up freshly ironed items or items to be ironed. Cabinet must be installed in-wall between 16-inch on center studs. Ironing board opens 11 inches above bottom of cabinet, so keep that in mind when selecting height for cabinet installation. Cabinet door extends 28.5” from wall with door open and 44.5” from wall with ironing board extended straight forward. Interior of the cabinet measures 13.25” W x 5.375” D. Shelves are shallower than full cabinet depth.

I really like the Murphy bed it was delivered on time and was in almost perfect condition. The item had one minor scratch, and it was easy to paint over. The bed was not easy to assemble, but I had help. It looks nice and is easy to lift updown. Did have to modify the wall anchoring given the brick wall anchors that are provided. The front panel has more space between the shelving on one side (everything reads level, and the bottom of the front panel has even spacing). I did notice other review photos have the same problem. Comes in 4 boxes, received 2 on one day the other 2 the next day. Really nice set, pretty happy with it. Couple of extras that we are doing to it, the brackets to hold the frame to the wall can be seen when bed is down just going to paint them white to make it less noticeable. The barrel of the hinge for the shelf can be seen when the bed is in the up postion. Definitely need to support the bed frame to the wall and into the studds a must. Writing I rarely write reviews, but this product honestly left me shaken and injured and I feel obligated to warn others. The Murphy bed design is fundamentally unsafe. The piston mechanism that’s supposed to assist with lifting and lowering the bed is unbelievably stiff and completely non-adjustable. It requires two adults to safely pull the bed down, which defeats the entire purpose of having a functional, user-friendly wall bed. There is nothing smooth or controlled about the motion—it feels like you’re fighting against the hardware every single time. What’s worse is that the assembly and installation design makes the situation even more dangerous. You’re expected to put the entire unit together and somehow maneuver it upright and secure it to the wall, yet the bed itself cannot be safely opened or controlled during that process. It creates a hazardous, unpredictable setup where the weight and tension are working against you. In my case, this turned into a nightmare. The bed came crashing down on both me and my daughter. She was incredibly lucky to walk away unhurt, but I wasn’t. I ended up with a bruised pelvis and hip, and a badly injured hand. I was actually pinned between the bed and the frame—it was terrifying and could have been far worse. All I could think afterward was if this had happened to my 7-year-old son instead, the outcome could have been catastrophic. This isn’t just an inconvenience or a minor flaw—this is a serious safety issue. A product like this should never require that much force to operate, nor should it put users in a position where they can be trapped or injured during normal use or installation. The wood pattern was just as shown. Received four damaged pieces, (we had to build the bed with the damaged pieces due to company coming) and then take apart to replace damaged pieces. Customer service was efficient. After filling out the damaged item request, replacements arrived quickly with out hassle. The back panels vibrated when moving around on the bed.
