I took a chance and had bought this when there were no reviews but then I was worried after reading recent reviews. I’m so glad we put this up. Installation seemed really easy but we used a professional who had done these before and it only took him an hour. We have the gold one and it replaced three gold and white pendants that were hanging vertically. The style and linear shape fit better with our kitchen. I am pleased to see veining on the alabaster shade. Gave it 4 stars instead of 5 as you can see the tiny screws on the metal holding the shade if you look closely. This light fixture is beautiful. Its is heavy and very solid. My husband was able to hang it in about an hour by himself (although it would have been easier with 2 people due to the weight). The 2 temporary bars that allow the fixture to hang while you connect the electric wires was a great idea to make installation easier.
