We ordered this Zephyr duct cover from Wayfair, unfortunately the main panel (30”) arrived with some small dentsdings, crimpedbuckled edges and a very light digital imprint that could not be removed. I called Zephyr to ask if they would send a replacement. Without any hesitation and at no charge, Zephyr’s service rep (Brian) sent a whole new replacement. I am very happy with this hood. The quality of build seems solid, installation instructions were very clear, and it I think it looks great. It takes some planning and work to get it installed. You have to make sure your ceiling joists and ductwork is going the right direction or be prepared to do some modifications. I have a soffit and had to take down a bunch of drywall to modify the framing, run the 14/3 romex for the light/fan and modify the ducting. Then I replaced the drywall, taped, texture, paint and installed the hood. Fortunately it all came together nicely. I was able to held the hood in place while my wife drive the screws into the framing. I think it will be worth it in the end because the hood won’t be blocking the view in front of our cooktop.. This was the only vent cap that I could find with 6" round ducting, for use with my Air Exchanger input. Although it worked, with some difficulty and modification, I wish it were made of plastic instead of heavy duty aluminum.
