The set looks nice and is not too expensive. I like that they are microwave and dishwasher safe. Plates don’t stack that well because of the shape and the bowls want to stick together. I got the blue. I chose these because they are Mikasa. I still have Mikasa place settings that cost 50.00 each back in 1996. Classic Flair was the pattern. Two different animals here, no comparison. These Huxley bowls and plates are haphazardly dipped into a glaze with no consideration for continuity and consistency. I would use these on an everyday casual occasion. One of the saladpasta bowls had a weird anomaly on the bottom that nearly pierced my finger. Wayfair is working on replacing that bowl. The color of this blue is what I would consider blueberry. We love this set of Mikasa bone china. We bought it to replace another Mikasa set that has a metal lining on every plate. We specifically wanted one that was dishwasher and microwave safe. The artwork on the plates is beautiful and looks much better in person. The plates are lightweight and much lighter than our equivalent size ceramic plates. They didn't stain after we ate curry on them. We hand washed and also washed them in the dishwasher. They came out perfect both times. If I can edit my review later, I'll try to add some photos.
