The 7x9 is what we purchased and I think it fits the room well with our smaller couch. The rug shipped relatively fast and was delivered well. Takes about 3 days to fully flatten. Excellent rug, quite soft, and very cushy. Great as a runner! The pattern is modern and muted, and not purposefully "antique" which lends to my pro tip: even if you buy cheap stuff, buy things made of natural materials, not intentionally styled as aged, and buy what you love. Your home will look effortlessly curated and classy. As for the negative reviews... the rug wasn't yellow as some other folks reported, but boy is she a shedder at first. But that's just what you should expect with a brand new wool rug. Do a few extracurricular rounds of excessive vacuuming, and you'll get drastically less daily shedding. Unfortunately the only real con I've run into is that it's taken a long time to fully smooth out, even being weighted down on raised areas. I'd definitely suggest this rug for people with cats with penchants for stretching their little greasy mitts on anything that feels remotely textured - I really wanted a wool rug but without loops, or as close to no loops as possible. Shockingly hard to find! I think the search term is "cut pile" rug, which this one gets pretty close to. Any darker portion of the pattern is looped, while all lighter parts of this pattern are cut. It’s a nice rug. I purchased the beigerust colored one and from my POV, it’s more of an ivorycream color than it is beige. Although these photos make it look more beige, in good lighting it’s a bit brighter. (Four stars for that.) Also, not super thin I can go without putting a rug pad underneath it, personally. It came rolled up and laid out pretty nicely. Has the new rug smell, but not super strong to where it’s unbearable. I’ve also only had it for one whole day and don’t see too much shedding so far.
