Very light cabinet. If you don't mount it to the wall, when you open the door it will fall forward. I can't mount it so I put 40 lbs of weight in the bottom at the back to keep it flat. This gun safe was packaged well. The instructions left out a few steps but it was fairly simple to put together on my own. It’s a nice small locking gun safe. This is good to store guns in so that no one accesses them but it is not a heavy duty protective gun safe that would keep an intruder from breaking into nor fire safe.
