Beautiful chandelier!!! We had an electrician install the base and installed the crystals ourselves. The instructions were very vague and hard to read regarding the pattern for the crystal installation but once we figured it out it went by smooth. The fixture came very well packaged and none of the pieces were broken. This chandelier is a major improvement over the builder grade 3 bulb chandelier that was much too small for the 20 foot ceilings in our rotunda foyer. We did have to pay more than the chandelier itself cost for it to be installed and put together (each crystal must be hung by hand after the frame is completed and hung), but it was still more reasonable than other chandeliers that we looked at that we did not like as much. We are very happy with this purchase! My only two complaints are that the chain is not longer to hang in a two story space and the electrical cord that comes with the chandelier is black, so you must use the velvet sleeves to cover it. If the electrical cord was clear or gold (as on our kitchen chandelier), I would prefer to just see the chain and not cover it. Our electrician was able to add a few links he had, but the velvet covers were not quite long enough to cover it entirely. I don't think that anyone can really see it from downstairs as it is at the very top that the chain is exposed. I would give this five stars if the cord was not so visible!. Laura. Aldie, VA. Gorgeous!! My husband rented a scaffold to install it since our ceiling is 20 ft tall in our entry. He then lowered it, and we sat on scaffolding to install the crystals. Definitely a little more challenging installing this so high but worth it. It comes with a set of small crystals and a set of large crystals and you alternate them when installing on the rings of the chandelier. It took the both of us 1 12 hrs to put the crystals on. The mounting screws are terrible. It also did not mention this light needs a B14 bulb which is not available at big box stores and needed to be ordered.
