Dial Portable Evaporative Cooler is not an air conditioner. This is economical cooling and is most effective in dry climates. The cooler comes with a manual fill & garden hose attachment with float valve auto-shut of, a water level indicator window, and 2-way airflow - manual horizontal louvre & fixed vertical louvre.

My feedback would be.........explain the hose hook-up. Really short in explanation on how after you hook the hose up to the unit, all the instructions say is, "The internal float valve will maintain the water level." My question is, do you keep the water turned on? Does the unit shut down the water and turn it on once the water level goes down? Not clear to me, maybe there are others that have the same question.. This arrived very quickly and was packaged very securely so it arrived in perfect condition. It's much heavier than I expected, but that's a good thing since you don't want this tipping over. There was no assembly, so from opening the box to getting it going was quick and easy. So far, it works as expected. The remote has a lot of useful functions including turn off and on the lights at night to reduce the brightness for light sleepers. A few things to know beforehand. We purchased this to help cool our 3-season room since it does not have central heat and AC. Our daytime temps are now in the 80s and it seems to be doing a good job. The real test will be when we're consistently in the 90s. The noise level is equal to a box fan.
