It’s a lot heavier than I expected and thick. But I think it will work for the kitchen backsplash. Update my husband put the stonecrest up. It’s absolutely stunning. We both love it. Slate is a very durable metamorphic rock with a beautiful color variation that has the ability to transform your space into a sleek and attractive space. Because of its durability, it is flexible to be used indoors and outdoors on floors, backsplashes, bathrooms, or even fireplaces.

Love it! It looks so beautiful once installed. It does have A LOT of sparkle in it but it looked perfect once installed vertically. Still sparkly once installed but we think it looks very classy and high end even given the low price. Installed using quickset and used an angle grinder to make cuts. The first shipment had a bunch of broken pieces in the boxes but wayfair customer service was amazing and they got us replacement boxes. It seems like the problem was with the original delivery service removing the boxes from the pallets. I really like the way this porcelain tile looks in my shower. Nice contrast to the tile.That being said,I was not happy with the packing and delivery of the tile! It took 3 tries to receive a full box of unbroken tiles. Not packed well!! The agents at Wayfair couldn’t have been more helpful. After second box came broken(every tile) I was assured that the next box would b usable. I was not convinced but a full box of unbroken tile showed up at my front door almost immediately. I have been wanting to upgrade my current bookcases with a marble top, but they could not support the weight. These two tiles are exactly the right size for what I needed, and I could not be more pleased. The delivery team was fantastic and even left the package inside my door so I could move it to their location easily. I am impressed with the quality of the tile and its veining, which mimic the marble I have elsewhere in my home. The tiles would look fantastic on bathroom and kitchen counters and on bathroom walls. I am not sure I would place these on a floor, as they are very slick. I plan to trim out the front of the cabinets to hide the tile edge for a more built-in appearance, but for now I have a sleek surface that hides the cosmetic blemishes on the wood and gives me additional space without the cost and weight of real marble.. This is a nice tile that looks good in our bathroom. The 1ft by 2ft size makes it easy to put down and tiling goes quickly. Beautiful tiles that look just like stone/marble and like the photos you see in description. Only one tile arrived with a corner broken off. The rest look perfect. This is a beautiful tile that is dark grey/black with subtle light gray veining.
