Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised by this set. I ordered it for my adult son's new apartment. He's on a budget so the set fit in nicely with that. It arrived very well-packed (no damage to boxes or contents) and it took us about 2.5 hours to put together everything. Even though it's not 'real' wood, the screws never split the wood. All the parts were neatly labeled and the instructions were written out in English. They were easy to follow. Overall, it's a great 'starter' set for a young adult or college student. Easy to work with, process is a bit tedious and time Consuming due to prep work and finishing details. We chose to attach to the wall using a brad nailer instead of glue to avoid wall damage if neededwant to remove in the future. So we had to caulk the seams as well as the nail holes, then sand, and we finishes it with two coats of our wall color in a glossier finish. This turned out to be a really nice touch to my accent wall. The trim comes in many pieces.. I do wish the sides were whole pieces instead of so much extra work. It was nice that they were pre-cut.
